What still needs a shop

Being straight about this saves everyone a wasted trip:

Wheel alignments — needs an alignment rack. Nothing portable does this properly.
Mounting and balancing tires — needs a tire machine and a balancer. We can fix a flat or swap a spare; we cannot press a new tire onto a rim in your driveway.
Internal engine and transmission work — head gaskets, rebuilds, clutch jobs on most vehicles. These need a lift and often a hoist.
Exhaust work needing welding — bolt-on sections are fine, welded repairs are not.
Major suspension on a car that cannot be safely lifted — depends on the vehicle and the surface. We will look and tell you.
