Flat Tire & Roadside Help

Flat repair, spare swaps, jump starts and lockout-adjacent no-starts.

The short answer

Flat repair, spare fitting, jump starts and no-start help, wherever you are. What we cannot do roadside is mount a new tire onto a rim — that needs a tire machine.

Most flats are a nail or screw in the tread, and most of those are repairable properly with a plug-patch from inside the tire. The string plugs sold in kits are a get-home fix, not a repair.

What can be fixed and what cannot

  • Tread punctures — generally repairable if the hole is within the repairable zone and not too large
  • Sidewall damage — not repairable, ever, by anyone. The sidewall flexes constantly and no patch survives it
  • Shoulder punctures — usually not repairable for the same reason
  • Run flat after being driven on — often destroyed internally even if it looks fine

If someone offers to patch your sidewall, leave.

The spare situation

A lot of newer cars do not have one. They have a can of sealant and a compressor, or nothing at all. Worth checking your trunk before you need it rather than after. Temporary spares also have a speed limit, usually 50 mph, printed on the sidewall — that is a real limit, not a suggestion.

Questions we get

Can you come to the side of a highway?

Depends where. Some locations are not safe to work in, and for those the right call is a tow to somewhere we can. We will tell you honestly.

Can you bring a new tire?

We can arrange it in some cases, but fitting a new tire to a rim needs a tire machine. Repair, spare swaps and getting you mobile again are what we do on site.

Do you do lockouts?

Not lock work. If the car is unlocked but will not start, that is us.

Is a plug-patch as good as a new tire?

A proper plug-patch from inside, in the repairable zone, is a permanent repair. A string plug pushed in from outside is not.

Or send us the details and we will call you back.
